FWS returned with our first workshop of the year at the old Los Angeles Zoo site in Griffith Park.

Vivian Martinez, our resident Events Producer at DUM DUM kicked things off with a brief discourse on stage presence, which included some exercises to loosen us up.

Participants had an opportunity to read aloud their own writing, and receive constructive feedback from the group. Bravo to all those brave enough to read aloud, you blew us away with your talent!

We hate to give spoilers, but there are so many amazing things in the box, that we can hardly contain ourselves. Included in each and every box will be a flash fiction flash card and also your very own FWS pencil—so you can get busy writing, Dummies.

Now, your prompt for the week, along with some visual fodder::

Rules: Under 100 words, write a complete* story.

*A complete story includes: setting, characterization, conflict, with a beginning, middle and end.

We have SO much coming up in the next few weeks. Dum Dum issue three will debut at Printed Matter’s LA Book Arts Fair Feb 1-3. Our MOCA party will be after opening night @ Mandrake Bar, Jan 31st. And then, our BIG release celebration/party/art show/concert will be at Echo Country Outpost Feb 9th.
